A brief history of how Sodie’s Inc. started -

SODIE’S, INC. “Voted Best Hot Dog in Tampa Bay”

It’s Noon in downtown Tampa and you only have a few minutes for lunch. You don’t have time to wait to be served at a traditional restaurant so what can you do? The solution to your problem is at the corner of Franklin and Madison Streets where you will find Sodie’s Hot Dog stand. Sodie’s has been serving delicious grilled hot dogs to the downtown lunch crowd since 1998. You will find Senaf serving those grilled hot dogs and Italian Sausage every weekday on the Franklin Street Mall between 11am and 2pm.

The Franklin Street Mall is a six-block open-air pedestrian mall in the heart of downtown Tampa. The Mall is the host location for weekday entertainment and a variety of sidewalk vendors selling a range of goods. The Mall also hosts a number of restaurants and retail shops and serves as an activity site for downtown office workers and tourists. Senaf Pickhardt, the new owner of Sodie’s Inc. daily makes the trek to downtown Tampa from her home in Lutz.

Sodie’s Hot Dog Cart serves grilled hot dogs, both regular and Jumbo along with Italian Sausage served with grilled onions and peppers on oversized toasted buns.  Sodie’s “regular” hot dog is larger than what most other vendors serve and the Jumbo is truly for those with a big appetite. The dogs and sausages are served with a fine selection of condiments.  In addition, you can get soda, bottled water and other snacks from Sodie’s.

In addition to feeding hungry downtown Tampa business people, Sodie’s is also available for corporate functions, birthday parties and other special events. If you are not downtown during the lunch hour you can reach Senaf at 727-709-1349.
